There are many tools for anomaly detection available, and most of them have a ‘scan’ button. But users do not hit this button too often, so why not make it ‘live’? This seems to be an approach that works well for traditional programming.
The implementation seems simple, you just have to implement a few triggers on formula edit and save. But, you do not want to disrupt the user too much, for example you do not want see all old faults all the time.

Open directions are creating a nice reward system, improving the performance (by using incremental execution) and performing a real-world evaluation.
